Research is essential to transforming the future of diabetes prevention, management and care.

Australia is home to world-leading diabetes researchers and institutes, yet investment in this area is not keeping pace with the growing need. NHMRC funding for diabetes research has declined by 51% over the past decade, even as the number of Australians living with diabetes has risen by 35%.

The Diabetes Innovation Impact Foundation aims to generate new philanthropic funding for diabetes research, targeted to prioritises advancing knowledge that addresses the real needs of people living with diabetes.
